Grk is a fascinating grape. The vines need intervention of another grape varietal to pollinate, as all the Grk plants are female. The vineyard is planted to mixed rows of red and white grapes.
Abundant floral and citrus aromas bound from the glass. On the tongue the wine is very dry with stone, gentle herb, and pith flavors. Definitely food friendly. I’m certain this is a wine many vintners can get wrong, but I am pleased with this wine. — 7 years ago
Atypical plavac mali, I would never guess the grape varietal in blind tasting. Very soft and elegant, polished tannins, more sweet than acidic, great but short aftertaste. It lacks that rustical punch with rough tannins like most plavac mali are, I have a feeling that it’s made for the taste of the American audience. Not bad and not cheap, but certainly atypical. — 8 years ago
Easily the best-balanced dry rose we’ve had in Croatia. From the winery in Lumbarda on Korcula island, about 15 USD. Nothing wrong with this. :)
