1.5 hour decant (little cloudy sediment). A beautiful deep purplish magenta color. On the nose: Blueberry, red berry, vanilla mocha, herbs and spice. Taste: WOW...we are on a roll with our 2021 wines so far!!! smooth, rich, silky, mouth coating wine with black plum, cedar, currants, graphite, spice and a nice long dry finish with slight tannic punch. A bigger wine than usual from HL, and a winner that will drink well for years.....if you are a HL fan, hope you got some! — 5 years ago

Big fan. Great taste for any occasion or dinner. Want to buy more of this. — 6 years ago
For someone who has constantly said ‘I’m not a Zinfandel fan’ I like it. Well balanced in the middle, pleasant finish, not too much acidity. — 8 years ago
I'm not typically a big fan of Chardonnay, but this one was delicious. Crisp, fresh, and clean, though the flavors took a while to open up. A couple hours after opening, I tasted some nice yellow apples and ripe pears with just a touch of oak. 100% Chardonnay. 1/30/22. — 4 years ago
Narrow and uninspired. A bit syrupy. Not a fan of this vintage. — 6 years ago
I have never been a huge fan of Chardonnay until I was served a glass of this wine. Even though barrel fermented, it doesn’t have a buttery taste, but rather a more citrus finish, which I like. I will enjoy this wine all year long. — 7 years ago
Stag’s leap Artemis - first smell - manure. Soil. - a little fruitier than the silver oak. It’s smoother than the silver oak but typically I am just not a huge fan of stags. But when coming back to it. It’s much better than the silver oak. Ahhhhhhh. This is actually my favorite now. 9.1+ — 7 years ago
I’m not a big Pinot Noir fan but I’m trying. This is very earthy on the nose but really opens up after a 30 minute decant. Really smooth, really light with notes of dark cherry and cola on the palate. Celebrating that we found our daughter’s fur baby last night after being on the run for 6 days!! — 7 years ago
I enjoy this red blend more than most and will continue to have a bottle on hand as it makes me happy. Not good enough? See other, longer, reviews if you want adjectives. Alternatively, buy a bottle and try it for yourself and share with a friend at a party. It’s a fan favorite for-a-reason. And that reason doesn’t have the word “berry” or “legs” or “mocha” — 8 years ago
Lovely Cava. — 3 years ago
2010. Pretty much the opposite of a Burgundian Pinot Noir. Pulled out to have while the coq au vin that was marinating the last few days was cooking. Big sweet black cherry flavors, but not out of balance and was enjoyable to drink. I’ve never been a fan of waxed bottlenecks, but the “zipper” around the top made easy access to the cork which was soft, pliable and came out intact. Paired well with the stew. — 3 years ago
I’m not a big fan of Rose’s so this mix that ends with Rose is much more to my palette. Dry but with enough fruit to make it blush... highly recommend. — 6 years ago
Always a huge fan of this producer. This was the cleanest bottle I’ve smelled straight from opening. Went from cherries to blackberries over the course of the evening. I decanted it for probably 2 hours and then it sat in the bottle for awhile as we drank the whites. Ended up having it with and after dessert. The wine is in a great place right now. It’s very pure. — 7 years ago

Paul T, Missing My Beautiful Wife 24/7
The 07 was my favorite, probably because it was the least Bordeauxish Opus I’ve had, not into those Dominus styled wines.

Excellent CDP, bright fruit (raspberries/strawberries) on the nose, follows through on the palate, well balanced - only drawback is a slight wooden feel on the back end but easy to look past. Opened up wonderfully after a couple hours. JW big fan. Powerful enough to stand up to red meat despite being a Rhône — 8 months ago
