Very dry on the palate and complex.

Showing red cherries, raspberries, tobacco leaf, earth, light oak, mildew, light green vegetables, herbs, forest floor, black pepper and black tea.

Tangy finish with fine grained tannins and tangy raspberries.

This 13 year old Barolo is still drinking nicely, but will not get much better from this point on. Soft and elegant, but lost a lot of the fruits by now.

Not fully balanced at this point, but easy drinking and better with food.

A pretty color of ruby, with medium intensity.

Fruity nose of red and blue fruits with oak, chocolates, earth, tobacco leaf, light toast and black pepper.

Medium plus in body with medium acidity.

Dry on the palate with cherries, raspberries, strawberries, spices, light oak, chocolates, herbs, light vegetables and black pepper.

Long finish with fine grained tannins and tangy raspberries.

This 8-year-old Pinot Noir from Sonoma Coast is still showing lots of fruits. Nicely balanced, elegant and rich. Complex, easy drinking and entertaining.

I had this vintage over 4 years ago, and it is drinking so much better now. Drinking at its peak, and will continue to do so in the next few years.

Dry on the palate with nice complexity.

Showing light raspberries, strawberries, citrus, apples, lemons, flowers, grapefruits and spices.

This is a very interesting Orange wine from oak Knoll District in Napa Valley, made from Viognier grapes. Fruit forward and nicely balanced.

100% Viognier grapes were fermented on the skins for 31 days, and aged in neutral oak barrels for 7 months.

12% alcohol by volume.

It is time for my #FridayCabernetfix. Here is a gorgeous one from Napa Valley.

Pretty color of ruby with a wide reddish rim.

Beautiful nose of black currants, plums, cooked cherries, cedar, licorice, dark chocolates, herbs, light earth, spices, tobacco leaf, dark coffee and peppercorn.

Medium plus in body with medium acidity and long legs.

Dry on the palate with black plums, black currants, cooked cherries, cedar, spices, licorice, chocolates, coffee, light earth, herbs, tobacco leaf and black tea.

Long finish with fine grained tannins and tangy cherries.

This is an exquisite Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa Valley. Rich, but restrained. Complex and engaging. Nicely balanced, with a soft and smooth mouthfeel. Feels like a Napa Cabernet with a touch of Left Bank Bordeaux.

Will continue to age nicely in the next 10 to 15 years. Has good potential to become a 95+ point wine.

Delicious stuff, and good by itself as a sipping wine. Will also pair beautifully with a nice piece of steak.

A blend of 90% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Cabernet Franc and 2% Petit Verdot. Aged for 24 months in new French oak barrels.

This is a very interesting white wine from Napa Valley. Elegant and nicely balanced.

This Single Vineyard Fiano is easy drinking and good by itself as a sipping wine or with food.

100% Fiano grapes were aged on the lees for 6 months, in neutral oak barrels. A tiny production of less than 1,000 bottles.

Dry on the palate with red and black fruits, light wood, spices, chocolates, herbs, peppercorn, earth and green vegetables.

Short finish with soft tannins and tangy raspberries.

This is an easy drinking Cabernet Sauvignon from Carmel Valley in California. Fruity with lots of earth notes. Feels like an Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon.

Alcohol is nicely integrated already, and will continue to drink nicely in the next 5 years.

100% Cabernet Sauvignon grapes. A small production of less than 4,000 bottles.

This is a delicious Cabernet Sauvignon Rosé from Oak Knoll District in Napa Valley. Rich and elegant, fruity and nicely balanced. Complex and interesting.

Feels like a light red wine, so interesting and yummy.

I've had a few vintages of this wine and it is very consistent.

A great sipping wine that will pair nicely with food too.

100% Cabernet Sauvignon grapes were aged in stainless steel vats for 6 months. A tiny production of less than 1,000 bottles.

This is a delicious Merlot from Napa Valley. Rich and fruit forward. Nicely balanced with nice complexity. Tangy and interesting.

Good right out of the bottle, and better after 90 minutes of airtime.

Still young, and needs a few years in the bottle to mature properly, but already drinking beautifully.

A great sipping wine that will also pair nicely with food.

A blend of 94% Merlot and 6% Cabernet Sauvignon. Aged for 19 months in (32% new) French Oak barrels.

Will continue to age nicely in the next 15 years.

Easy drinking, and good by itself or with food.

A blend of equal parts of Grenache, Syrah and Mourvedre. Aged in large oak barrels for 16 months.

Beautiful nose of cedar, blackberries, blueberries, black plums, mediterranean spices, eucalyptus, tobacco leaf, herbs, rhubarb, peppercorn, light alcohol, earth and light green vegetables.


Medium plus in body with medium acidity and long legs. 


Dry on the palate with black currants, black plums, cooked cherries, spices, oak, vanilla, licorice, mint, bobaco leaf, turmeric, mediterranean herbs and spices. 


Long finish with fine grained tannins and tangy raspberries. 


This is a delicious 7 year old Cabernet Franc from Israel. Complex and engaging right out of the bottle, with a beautiful nose. 


Drinking at its peak now, and will not last long so drink up. 


Elegant and good by itself or with food. 


Grapes were grown at 2,000 feet of elevation, handpicked and aged in French oak barrels for 12 months. A tiny production of only 300 bottles.
