I've had this once before. Interesting expression of Pinot Noir. Simple raspberry and strawberry flavors pinned down under oak and some tongue-tingling element.

Sydney from the corner wine shop has been hassling me to try this. Paso Robles is really hit or miss for me, but I bought a bottle tonight.
Opening this bottle is like opening a jar of jam. Powerful and dark berry aromas. Powerful on the tastebuds, too. Everything is at full blast- the fruit, the oak, the alcohol taste. Too much of everything. Also, something sweet on the finish that is familiar from my time in the Philippines, but I can't pin it down. Maybe mango candy.

Bashful nose, I smell some florals and woodsy stuff. Big flavors! Lush and dark, but light weight in the mouth. Plums, overripe strawberries, cocoa, cedar, licorice, a bit of mint. Lots going on, and a real bargain at $17. Decanter says 95 points. Let's not get crazy!

Was given this bottle to sample. I'm not sure why Sydney wants my opinion, because I'm still a wine rookie.
But, I can say it's good enough. Nice, lush texture, big on dark berries, chalky tannic finish. This would be fine with a marbled steak.

Chateau Latour Demons! Scary!
The quality of this wine is up there. Very satisfying medley of lively fruit (blackberry and plum), mid-palate spice, new leather, and silky lingering tannins. A pleasure to drink.

A blend of Belle Glos: 38% Las Alturas, 32% Clark & Telephone, 30% Dairyman. It tastes just how you'd expect, heavy on the oak. Dark and lush. Should be a holiday wine. 14.6%

This is really good. Apparently I had this on the Memorial Day fishing trip, but bottles were flying everywhere so I forgot about it.
Delicious dark fruit and a leathery mouthfeel.
