Prisvärt! Dinner with Linn och Uffe — 9 years ago
2015 is apparently the season for German rosés chez moi. Is this a function of having unceremoniously quit my job selling French wines? Perhaps. Or perhaps they are just extra extra good this year, perhaps both. Freiherr Spätburgunder tastes like pure watermelon juice. 100% ideal for 4 pm on a Wednesday, or any other time for that matter. 💕💕💕raise the steins to @Amanda Linn & @Michael Newsome for bring this my way. Spicy leathery and green tobacco leaf, cab-like nose, deep red violet color, rich mouthfeel with medium tannins, inviting but hot finish - this will develop for another 7-10 yrs — 10 years ago
Golden hues. Very fine bubbles. Light citrus, yeast. Great champagne. — 6 years ago
Sippable summer wine - just sweet enough! — 8 years ago
Citrus honeyed aromas covey a depth that is realized upon tasting the wine. The late, wet harvest brought about conditions favorable for Botrytis but AT exercised great care sorting the fruit before fermentation. The result is a lovely, youthful CH with compelling length often found in similar CH vintages in Burgundy.

Attending the Côtes du Coeur in Dallas. Was asked to be a brand ambassador for Montagu Wines, so I get to pour this weekend! Last night was the grand tasting...out of 18 or so wineries, two really stood out.
This is the second wine that really stood out, along with the Barnett Rattlesnake. Lots of similarities. Both had that Velvet and creamy texture on the palate. Lots of darker fruits on this. Pedigree really shined so you knew at first whiff this was going to be phenomenal. Kirk Venge is the winemaker. As a '14, could tell it was super young but already incredibly powerful. @Jason Oliver , I believe you are a fan of this stuff? I got to meet @Hailey Covey with Macauley and both my wife and I agreed that this was top notch! Thanks Hailey! — 9 years ago

Thank you @Sarah Covey for inviting me & the rest of the K&L RWC staff to your home for such a fun bottle party and BBQ! I brought this because many of my colleagues hadn't had the chance to enjoy older white Bordeaux. Unfortunately, this one has barely aged... It was almost green white, loaded with lanolin and sweat in all the right ways. The only clue to its age was the integration of flavor, texture and acidity. A great bottle. — 10 years ago

Dark purple in hue with a pleasing aroma of dark berries. A very smooth mouthfeel with very light tannins. Held it's own with a big barbecue dinner. Very nice. — 6 years ago
