Pale lemon with aromas of stone and citrus fruits with floral and honey notes. On the palate flavors of peach and pears with honeysuckle, smooth with a creamy texture, lively acidity. Medium+ finish ending with fruit and savory citrus character, no oak aging. Nice value! — 5 years ago

I hope so, crossbarn was one of my worst disappointments last year,
ND graduate Hobb uses his CrossBarn bottling for the ND wine program. This is the same as the CrossBarn Sonoma Coast.
Aromatic with pear, granny apple, ripe pineapple, lemon curd, and sprinkles of white flower blossom. Rich and round on the palate (100% Malo fermentation) with underlying minerality and crips acidity, finishing off with a slightly salty aftertaste.

I can always count on Del Frisco’s and their private label wines to really make an entrance. This Sonoma County Cab, made exclusively for the Double Eagle Steakhouse, was developed by Paul Hobbs and is produced/bottled at his CrossBarn Winery. This is a solid selection with loads of deep, brooding dark fruits, mint, Christmas spice cake, figs, molasses, dark chocolate, and coffee grounds. Great with a burger 👌🏻 even better with a steak, I imagine. — 7 years ago

What on earth did they do to the label? It looks like the label of a $6 bottle of wine in my opinion. Sad. — 4 years ago

Growing up on a working farm in NY, Paul experienced first-hand the influence of terroir on the character of fruit, his father had him taste apples of the same variety grown in different orchards several miles apart from one another. Aromas of berry fruits and herb notes. On the palate juicy blackberry and strawberry with black tea and herb spice. Elegant soft savory tannins on lingering finish ending with mineral tones. — 9 years ago
$76. Darker aroma than the crossbarn Pinot. This one is much better than the Crossbarn as well. More smooth and better blended. I much prefer this one over the previous. My initial rating was a 8.9 but that was only having had pinots at that point. When I came back to this one after trying some malbecs and cabs I probably wouldn't have given it as high a score. — 9 years ago
Yummy Oregon Pinot Noir.
Lighter than the Paul Hobbs Crossbarn.
