At first I was a bit underwhelmed, but as it opens, I’m more and more impressed with the purity and focus in this wine. The fruit character is nowhere near as intense as the similarly aged examples from California and Oregon I’ve been tasting recently, but it has much more to offer in both flavor and freshness than I expected from a 15-year-old village level Burg. The nose is subtle but flirtatious, showing cherry, dried raspberry, almond, cardamom, and a hint of dust, all of which carry through to the impeccably balanced and oh so elegant palate. Un régal, température idéal... Sur une party crêpe ou surtout tout seul avec un peu de chevre, belle référence. — 10 years ago
Pretty intense and ruby red with pink rim . Lots of red and dark cherry , confit strawberry and a stony , mineral tinge . On the palate quite ripe and intense with those red fruits dominating , sour cherry , strawberry and raspberry. Good , fresh acidity, slightly chalky tannins, only ok length however . Quite bright and refreshing in style. Drink now and over the next 5 or so years . — 2 years ago
