Only GC from Brisset. Heavenly nose. Like the first time I got Bergman. It’s so overwhelming. Floral. Mineral. Heavenly spectrum of fruit. Black cherry, white cherry, cassis, almost a liquer like intensity, so so so floral. Deep, structured, insane tiny berry fruit intensity. This is insane. Lean and long finish. So closed but so good. Someone said it reminded them of Ligier-Belair La Romanee. World class wine.
Now after 7-8hours open its epic. Combo of floral and mineral that is just so good. Pure black plum, black cherry, deep red cherry, palate is just insane, huge power, depth and concentration with awesome black and red very embryonic fruits and plenty of acid and tannin. Long, nimble and so so pure. Really a masterclass. It just is so young only thing holding it back. Wait 10 years . — 6 years ago
Trousseau and Pinot Noir. Awesome rusty orange color. Plenty of autolytic notes, bitter blood orange, and a nice earthiness. Super for under $20. — 10 years ago
Bright, sour cherry, touch of oak. Classy stuff from the dream team of Ligier-Belair and Etzel — 12 years ago
Fresh and fruity, easy to drink, aromatic aftertaste. We had it with pizza, a very nice wine! — a year ago
Modern-style Savagnin (100%) from a blue and white marne soils. Topped-up, Non-oxidized to preserve freshness. Fresh, mineral nose with subtly nutty aromas and hints of mint. Quite round. Flavors of apple and citrus. Good acidity and minerality — 5 years ago
Very good, nice color and long after taste. — 6 years ago
So good! Damn. Reminds me of a sparkling wine by Ganevat which I had on a few occasions years ago but have never been able to find again. Anyhow... Straight-up pear juice (I love pears), and minerally. There is an inherent sweetness to the fruit that makes you wonder - even though it says Brut, is there some RS? F-. Whatever. But all I can say is, it's damned delicious and a joy to drink. — 10 years ago
Crisp, clean, with notes sherry notes — 3 years ago
Traditional style Savagnin. Aged under flor (sous voile) for about 3 years, half the time required for Vin Jaune. It’s like a mini Vin Jaune, with a complex, quite intense nose, lots of spicy aromas. Sharp, mineral on the palate. Lively, vibrant, very tasty (sapidité). Great length, hazelnuts flavors. Extraordinary value — 5 years ago
Slight oxidization coming through, great acidity, lemon curd, great example of a mixed style. — 9 years ago
Toujours aussi exceptionnel Ligier-Belair — 12 years ago
