Have not had since the estate and wow this is insane. Unreal spice and mineral force. Overwhelming aromas and stunning wet earth. The gout de terroir is unreal. The decadence yet restraint is unreal. I could smell all day. Cherries on cherries on cherries. Cranberry bog, some light red currants. Just insane. Unreal finesse. Wow! Huge fruit soak and density. Massive structure and so pure. This always needs air and wow will this come alive after some air. Just stunning. 9.6 out of the gates. This got amazing after 2-3 hours and was all silk and satin with squeegee levels of red and black cherry fruit. I bet it will be even better tonight. — 15 days ago

Ultra rare bottling from the brilliant Tavel producer. An elite rose. Huge nose of citrus skin and big time wet earth. True gout de terroir. Gorgeous clarity to the berry fruit. Palate has enormous density and structure with unreal freshness. Stunning fruit and power with real grip and sappiness. Structure for 10-15 years. Really brilliant stuff. Getting so elegant with air. Awesome nose. Wild herbs, blackberry fruit and some red fruits as well. A chord progression. Dripping with blood and game. So meaty. So feral. Texture is like silk. Sweet fruit and so much energy. Juicy like nothing else and just explosive. Unreal granite on the finish. So fine. Really great. Let’s see what air does. Slate like tannins. Great structure and grip. Just terrific! — 4 days ago

This is drinking so well. Nose of cassis, redcurrant, classic Margaux flowers, green peppercorn (Carmenere), crazy florals, just a masterful nose. Leather and glorious spice. Palate is wide and sleek, elegant and decadent than sharply concentrated and sweet. The tannins are sweet and aggressive but the fruit is extraordinary and in a few hours I see this being even more supple. Fantastic. — 12 days ago

Always the woodiest as this is usually 100% new wood but it’s so well integrated at this stage and yes this aged so well. Had a 98 in summer 23 that was stunning. Nose has cocoa, vanilla, wild red cherry, spice and minerals. Needs to integrate but it’s all there. Gorgeous aromatic depth. Palate is woody and so silky with gorgeous, decadent red cherry fruit and terrific freshness. So pure and yet another brilliant William wine from 2023. So velvety and the tannins are so suave.
