Probably the most savoury wine had in a long time. BIG. No fruit whatsoever. Really interesting and inky. One for me! — 5 years ago
100% Sémillon from Bergerac, of ‘Cyrano de’ fame. Very fresh Loire-style rendition. Medium-bodied with pecan, bread, apple with nice acid. Grapes are organic - hand-picked and pressed into stainless steel on the lees . Unfined, unfiltered and no added sulfur. 12% abv. I did not see a vintage but I believe this is a 2018. — 5 years ago

The 2012 Les Carmes Haut-Brion was the first vintage with whole bunches (40%) and 18 months in barrel. It was the introductory vintage under current winemaker Guillaume Pouthier. This is much more enticing on the nose after the 2011: well-defined black cherries, cola, peppermint, light rose petal scents and a hint of marmalade that emerges with time. The palate is medium-bodied with sappy black fruit, more freshness and tension than the 2011, and frankly, you would never be able to tell there was whole bunch here. This appears to be maturing with style and panache, but it will give another decade or more of drinking pleasure. Tasted at the Les Carmes Haut-Brion vertical at the château. Chardonnay I actually like! — 6 years ago
Сочная клюква, брусника, сладость малины, кислотность малины и белой смородины. Очень собранное. Почти гениально. Пил бы и пил. — 7 years ago
Buttermilk & underripe mandarin on the nose with buttermilk again on the palette and riper mandarin juice, creamy but zingy at the end

Delicious. Soo drinkable and easy on wallet. Picked up from Whole Foods. — 5 years ago
LOVE. Loire might be my favourite French region.
Some green pepper on the nose. Dangerously drinkable. Food friendly. Went well with spiced ground beef and rice, but this red would be a good companion for red or white meat, Indian dishes, or on its own. — 6 years ago
