1hr+ decant. Dark purple color. Excellent texture and dark cherries are well integrated. I really liked this at first but it evolved into a typical Napa Cab with nothing unique about it. That’s not bad, but was hoping for a little character. — 7 days ago

The prep for my Napa trip continues as Classic hosted Hertelendy Winery tonight. Extremely small production with PTitus as the consulting winemaker. Vineyards located just below the Howell Mtn designation.

An outlier to get the evening started, but bubbles are always welcomed. Very nice mouthfeel and minuscule bubbles. They faded quickly, though. Didn’t get a lot of yeast out of this. Fruit and tart dominant. Granny Smith Apple, kiwi, and pear. — 8 years ago

Ralph Hertelendy is a unique character. Very cut and dry, it is what it is, and he loves in your face wine. Thus, a big Chardonnay. Should have been decanted. Butterscotch, popcorn kernel, lemon tarts, and a heavy texture on the palate. Larger ABV on this than his cab! — 8 years ago
