Wine 2 of decadent lunch, paired with duck econfit and mushroom and spinach fricassee. Clear medium Ruby color, medium body and high acidity. Clean, medium intensity nose with lots of plum wafting from the glass. Fruit forward on the palate, with plum, pepper, earth and leather notes leading to a smooth low tannin finish. Tasty wine and very good value. Pairing worked well. — 8 years ago
Tasting this was a fun guessing game, and I'm pleased to see that delectable does just as badly as we did - this is a rice wine from Camargue, France, not a Portuguese red.
Great for dessert, and puzzling your friends. — 8 years ago

Gamay noir, Willamette Valley, 225 cases produced. Purple red, light pigment extraction. Mold floral in nose, black currant and raspberry, seed tannin bitterness on finish. Light body, mouthfeel overall. Tart cranberry aftertaste. Decant to minimize bitterness in finish, at least one hour. — 4 months ago
