Eerily similar nose to the Pinots of the great James MacPhail (pre-sale to Hess), this has been the find of the trip. Very impressive Sonoma Coast Pinot, far from the madding crowd. — 9 years ago
Drinking 2009 in 2017. Unfiltered/unfined. Earthy and delish! From Raye's Hill Vyd. Love it!! — 9 years ago
Tasties like a lite red that faded.... Smooth, fruitful and delicious. Always a great producer. — 9 years ago
Beautiful nose of flowers and cream. Dark color. Great body of complexity with long finish. Almost fruity. 1998 17yr. Sherry solera cask in 1970. Gordon's tasting 8/25/16 special scotch. 43% ABV. — 10 years ago

With almost 7 years bottle age, this is a gorgeous, structured and almost decadent wine. Still very fresh, and ripe with all the spice and dried cranberry notes that are signature of this vineyard. Loved loved loved it. — 9 years ago
Nostril notes of briny oysters, golden raisin, clover honey, burnt cedar, vine charcoal. Big palatal forefront of cinnamon roll, coffee cake, candied lemon and laquer in a complex, satisfyingly rich finish! — 10 years ago

Root beer nose with pine sap tendrils, caraway seed, carmelized coffee and tea biscuit, and rosemary. Tastes of pine nettle, peppercorn, brine and caramel smoke. — 10 years ago
Norman
Unlike last night this is all tongue and no bite in the cheeks. Rich in flavor as expected from the age and color. Silent referring if I recall correctly to the fact that it is closed. Don’t think it ever produced a single malt and was part of blends back in the day. ABV 40% — 2 years ago
