Cherry, raspberry, maple, currant, cranberry, licorice and oak. Great structure and velvety tannins. — 8 years ago
Paying homage to the then wine maker at Whitehall Lane; Dean Sylvester. An unsung genius, whom I will never forget. I hope I am able to tip a glass with him in September when I am there.
The nose, ahhh, the nose is sublime. The majority juice is merlot, but there is a sizable dollop of cab, which helps to elevate the aromas of black cherries, maple syrup, freshly baked bread and talcum powder.
The palette is wonderful. It has such clarity and purity. Tannins are balanced with the acidity and 14.2 abv. A wonderful texture which finished sweet.
The new winemaker has a tough act to follow, but I'm sure he's up to the challenge. — 10 years ago
Another good Pinot. More tanin than the last. Blackberry and peppercorn flavour. Some minerality, but overall light on the palate. Slight tobacco nose. Open an hour early. Paired with a spicy pepperoni. Baseline wine+spirits. — 11 years ago

I like sweet so suits very well. — 7 years ago
A bright and lively perfume emerges from the glass. Notes of blue/black fruits, and espresso are evident.
The palette presents blueberries with a hint of maple syrup and charcoal. It has good weight and presence, but lacks density. Flavors are concentrated and powerful. A good effort from what was a challenging vintage.
Thanks go to @Paul T for gifting us this fine merlot/cab franc blend. — 9 years ago

Think it was an off bottle from retailer? How was the cork & color of wine?

I think that was the chocolate Parker was talking about, not sediment., you were supposed to eat thatWegmans, C dark ruby, N berry, jammy, bourbon distillery; raspberry, cherry, black currant, maple, brown sugar, oak, spirits — 10 years ago
This was such a wonderful surprise! Best thing to come out of Vermont since grade A maple syrup! A true sipping gin - absurdly smooth - spice, juniper and honey. This is the Pappy of gin. — 11 years ago
Cherry, raspberry, vanilla, maple, cranberry, oak and dried sage. Great structure and moderate tannins. — 7 years ago
Wifey's notes. Very exotic, tropical nose. First thing that registers on the palette is the sweetest. Silky tannins with sandalwood and blackberry compote. Finishes with maple syrup and Asian spices. It seems that bottle age has surprisingly provided a helping hand here.

Excellent wine. Big complex nose of cinnamon and burnt oak.
Palette is complicated with pronounced tannins which provides great structure for the wine. Finishes sweet with maple syrup, strawberry jam and black cherries.
I know the winemaker, so my score is biased - so what? — 10 years ago
