Okay, this is the most most profound incarnation of Greece’s signature liquor that I’ve ever had. The Metaxa Angel’s Treasure is a 50-year-aged version of their premier distillate, and it is awesome. A hypothetical hybrid between an aged congnac and a brilliant aged single malt, this is a brilliant expression of this drink (and siginificantly better than the riserva, which I used to think was the top of the heap).
