Ode a odette Irancy. Potent tannic and peppery.10 years old and can age another ten. Very masculin Pinot, little refinement but with a good piece of meat a very enjoyable effort. — 4 years ago
Finally getting around to posting Day 5 in Napa, our final day. 5 years in a row visiting...hope to make it 6 next year!
First stop was Odette. They pour Cade and Plumpjack wines as they are sister wineries.
This Cade SB was a bit underwhelming, honestly. Grassy and lemon aromatics with a quite tart lime dominant note on the palate. These may be better with a year or two to sit as this seemed really young. — 7 years ago
Didn’t know I like sirah. From Quinn at Ramsdens — 2 years ago
Light bodied. Fruity. No strange after taste. Tangy. Natural wine from Odette. Drier but easy to drink. — 5 years ago
A friend had a “reduction party” as he was needing to thin out his cellar. Definitely a party I’m happy to attend!
Had the 2012 Odette Reserve or 2012 Bryant Family not been on the table, this may have won the night. Whereas the other two were drinking deliciously, this displayed more youthful notes than I expected. The fruit here was really bright...candied black cherries, fresh blueberries and blackberries, baking spices, toasted oak, and savory charcoal. Nicely compact on the palate...bing cherries dusted in dark chocolate shavings, Black Forest cake, sandalwood, and smoked meat. If opening now, decant for a few hours. — 6 years ago

So consistent. Lovely texture and weight, without being OTT.. very well executed. Pineapple and meyer lemons create urgency on the mid-palate. This is an innovative variation on chard. Take a look, you may be surprised. — 6 months ago
