Excelente este Carmelo Romero Reserva 2010 degustado en el Día del padre 2010. Color con algo de evolución, brillo y limpidez presente. En nariz frutos rojos confitados y en mermelada junto a tabaco, cacao y especias. Vino con excelente bouquet y estupenda conservación 9 años después de su cosecha. Old school showing restraint and tradition. However, the fruit is a bit muted cherry and takes a backseat to earthy tones of forest floor, leather, and dried herbs. Tannins are firm yet balanced, and the finish carries a touch of tar and rose.

Riserva Dei Padre Serviti 2016. Dark ruby coloration. On the nose, cherry, leather; on the palate, cherry, plum, leather, oak. Strong tannins. Finish of cherry and vanilla. The more it opened up the more balanced it became. Notes of anise and florals presented. Tannins calmed. Much more balanced, full bodied. Quite powerful. — 5 years ago
