Slight bias cause it my cousin's vineyard in Portola valley but damn it's good on day two once some oak blows off. 2 acre vineyard near Rhys (alpine road). A little heavy handed with oak but actually well integrated at the same time. For the style it's really great.... wente clone perhaps? I'd have to ask but so typically California circa 1990s and very enjoyable as such. Super cool super limited. — 8 years ago
Don't know another Cali chard that has the degree of Burgundian-ness that this guy has. Oak is present but just enough for texture and complexity. Mineral and bright bright fruits....oh and acid. A ton of stuff you don't find in Napa/Carneros. Fuckin great wine! !! — 10 years ago

This is a Zinfandel I can love. Blackberries and balsamic on the nose. Smooth and well balanced mouthwatering acidity and mouth tingling tannins. Rich full bodied dark fruit, currant and a hint of rhubarb and cinnamon spice on the palate with a long lasting and totally enjoyable finish. — 2 years ago
