Started out one-dimensional, but over time, transitioned into something quite interesting. Thanks @Mo Salem for sharing. — 6 years ago

Earthy forest floor aromas with underlying rich black cherry, light on the palate with tart acidity, ripe fruit, and soft, pleasant structure. This is my beloved Pinot. — 2 months ago
This shot is for @Norman Gennaro.
So here’s the deal... wifey and I have a small place, which means that we can’t build a room with a cellar - we just don’t have the real estate. So, working with @Mo Salem, our cellar needed to be an integral part of our living space. We’re doing something similar below our stairs. Keep you posted on that.
Let’s turn to this stunning SB. Aromas of grapefruit and slate on the nose. Palate is flinty and honied. Perfect acidity and weight on the mid-palate. It’s exuberant all the way to the finish. $22!!! 😀 — 6 years ago

Wow!!!! An impulse buy at NH Liquor in Salem. 95 points from some guy or other, but I almost rate it the same. Delicious at first sip — that forest floor, mossy taste of Boden Essential Red, but the black pepper zing ups the ante. I really love it. It is way better than its price range ($12.99) suggests. Pairs well with a Lifetime Christmas Movie about shelter dogs.

Loved it, perfect. Salem Wine Imports. — 7 years ago
First planted in 1995, the Bunker Hill Vineyard is located in the Salem Hills and benefits from the cooling winds of the Pacific Ocean through the Van Duzer corridor. The resultant wine starts off with aromas of vanilla, crème brûlée, peat moss, and ripe pineapple. The minerality and intensity to this wine is highly satisfying, as is the richness and brightness shines through. Poached pear, marzipan, crème brûlée and apricot flavors come to mind, as the wine showcases an exotic edge. Drink 2019-2029- 94 — 7 years ago
Great everyday wine. Little headache next day 🤪 Salem Wine Imports — 8 years ago
Gorgeous color and powerful aromas pour out of the glass. Strawberry, red raspberry, violets, crushed stone and a tiny bit of earthiness on the nose for me this go around. Amazingly smooth on the palate where the fruit really shines up front and with cherry, cranberry, and I swear still a bubble gum to it. Fantastic everyday drinker! — 8 years ago
Yeast/ brioche. Another Franciacorta that I brought it back from Brescia. Had it with my wife for our anniversary July 2020. — 10 months ago
Ok peeps, many people have asked for more deets regarding our little cellar...
1.8m x 0.6m x 2.25m. The floor is Portuguese black slate (1cm thick). Floor, walls and ceiling are insulated with high-density foam, which has a low thermal conductivity. Chiller is housed remotely. Ducting pulls clean air from outside, and dumps exhaust air outside. Basically, everything is custom - my design, and a great contractor realized our dream. @Mo Salem was instrumental with renovating our home, and the germ of the idea came from him.
This wine big and bold. Visually show its age. Cinnamon, cloves and pepper define the nose and palate. The oak monster is evident on the mid palate. Great tannins and complimentary acidity. This will sail on for another 5 years, but best consumed now. — 6 years ago
Got renovation issues, @Mo Salem to the rescue! 2nd staircase will not go quietly.
This wine is stellar. It was great from the first moment till the last. Sangiovese at its best. Full bodied, earthy and mineral-driven. Tannins are relaxed, while the fruit profile displays the typical raspberry and herb notes. So much value here... — 7 years ago
Sage and ocean. Tunisian wines are so so much better than anyone gives them credit for. Drink it. — 7 years ago
2011 St. Innocent ‘Zenith Vineyard’ Pinot Noir- The Zenith Vineyard is St. Innocent’s estate vineyard, located eleven miles northwest of Salem, Oregon. This 2011 Pinot Noir shows wonderful forest floor and wet stone character on the nose with blood orange rind, cran-cherry and cigar ash also coming in aromatically. The aromatic range is seriously good right now. The palate is silky smooth right now as the mouthfeel entices. The richness reminds me more of a 2012 bottling as there is a seamless quality to the wine that grips you. Red and dark fruits weave together, with also citrus and earthy tones quite primary. Downright delicious, this is a stunning bottling by eminent winemaker, Mark Vlossak. Drink 2018-2028- 93 — 7 years ago
