Surprisingly delicious at 10 years of age. Wonderful ripe Napa jelly fruit. Surprisingly good acid, the tannins have receded but still provide some structure. Rarely drink Napa merlot but this is compelling. Certainly somewhat biased by the fact that I worked on this vineyard in 2011. Nice pairing with skirt steak on the grill. — 3 years ago

Well first off the was the 2012 vintage Syrah not merlot. Its a decent wine, good body. Dry finish. The original price I believe is 38 dollars and for that price there are other alternative wines that provide more of an experience. However, if there you can find this wine for the mid 20 dollar range it would be very good price and well worth the money. — 5 years ago
89% Cabernet Sauvignon and 11% Petite Verdot. Dark ruby color with some purple highlights and a thin garnet rim. Aromas of black fruit, cocoa, cola and a very noticeable hint of mint. The full bodied palate features black berry/plum/cherry fruit, tobacco, dark chocolate, dried herbs, baking spices and black pepper. Long and lingering earthy finish features a touch of vanilla. Big structure, savory and well softened tannins. Aging nicely. Thanks for the bottle, John P. — 4 months ago
A charming left bank blend with a high percentage of CF for 15’. Blueberry, cassis, espresso, dried herbs, and lavender. Hint of crushed rocks too. Medium to full body. A harmonious palate with round gentle acidity, lush texture, and grainy yet polished firm elegant tannins. Lingering lightly candied finish.
Finesse and classy, yet so approachable. — 4 years ago
This is another terrific Napa red from the problematic 2020 vintage.
Purple in color with a short purple rim.
Full-bodied with medium acidity.
Dry on the palate with nice complexity.
This Napa Merlot is still young, and needs a few years in the bottle to mature properly, but already enjoyable, even by itself.

Nicely balanced and delicious. Will continue to age nicely in the next 10 years.
