Kleins Balls had 3 bottles of wine - a $70 bottle, a $50 bottle and a $30 bottle from (wine spies) and it was our favorite of the 3 by far. We all loved. — 5 years ago
Pale golden white. Short brief head in pour, moderate carbonation with medium sized bubbles. Label says it’s part of Heirloom Series, 8% alcohol. Pleasant perfumed apple aromas in nose. Expected McIntosh flavor profile in mouth but much more subtle and complex than that. Ever so slightly off dry, slight astringency in finish so very gently pressed. Slight malic snap in finish. Well crafted and superior product — 7 years ago

Deep dark ruby color with the aromas of fresh raspberries and notes of the vanilla. Flavors of fresh red raspberries, bing cherries, mixed with notes of spies and cocoa powder. The finish is elegant, balanced and rich. — 10 years ago
Ooof…. This is absolutely remarkable and probably the best value I have ever tasted. Rich plums with a slight undeniable spice. Massive body for a Bordeaux and “legs for days”. Wow. Love it! Wine spies sold it for $29-38 depending on quantity and it was listed at $75. Definitely worth more. Wrong wine name. See pic for real winery. The app couldn’t find the correct chateau. — 3 years ago
Lovely onsite vineyard. Amazing dry and spicy. — 6 years ago
(...) blackberries and ripe red fruits dressed with spies and roasted touch. — 9 years ago
Good Cabernet from Wine Spies. Nice finish, some character. — 9 years ago
A top wine on Spectators list, tried several vintages. Pale lemon with aromas of citrus and tropical fruit with herb floral notes. On the palate flavors of zesty sour green apple fruit flavors and some grassy tones, lively acidity. The wine finished with fruit, herbs, grassy and mineral notes. — 4 years ago
The Wine Spies Enigma Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon 2018, Napa Valley California
It's time for my #FridayCabernetfix.
Here is a very tasty Cabernet.
Inky in color with a very short reddish rim.
Fruity nose of blackberries, cooked cherries, cedar, licorice, vanilla, light earth, chocolates, tobacco, spices, herbs and peppercorn.
Full-bodied and bold with medium acidity and fat legs.
Dry and very fruity on the palate with blackberries, black currants, plums, cooked cherries, cedar, leather, vanilla, earth, spices, chocolates, tobacco, mocha, coke and black pepper.
Long finish with fine grained tannins and cherries.
The young Cabernet Sauvignon from Howell mountain is delicious already. Showing a great mouthfeel with nice complexity.
Good right out of the bottle and a little better after 90 minutes in a decanter. Already yummy and will continue to age nicely in the next 10 years.
Rich and fruit forward. Powerful with lots of chocolate and cedar notes.
This Delicious wine has good potential to become a 95+ point wine. Showing nice structure, soft and elegant.
Good by itself as a sipping wine, and will pair nicely with BBQ meats. I paired it with a charcuterie board of meats and cheeses.
100% Cabernet Sauvignon grapes were aged in (100% new) French oak barrels for 24 months. A tiny production of only 4 barrels.
15% alcohol by volume.
93 points.

Wine Spies selection. Very good, but maybe a little over hyped by seller. — 10 years ago
Very bold punchy flavor, not too fruity. I really like the spiciness and complicated taste. Drank it while watching Bridge of Spies with Jonnie. — 10 years ago

Lots of black fruits, plus vanilla, dark chocolate, and mesquite smoke. Ripe, rich, round, and concentrated, but amazingly still fresh. Delicious for $20 on Wine Spies. Cheers! — 3 years ago
