Our friend described this as forest floor. Did have wet forest smells along with mushrooms, dry blackberry and raspberry with a slight musty funk. Felt like this bottle was just a touch sweeter (not dessert wine sweet just that the dark fruit had fermented a bit more). Good wine. — 5 years ago
Fresh entry-level wine from one of Bierzo’s most exciting producers, a blend of Palomino Fino and Doña Blanca from old vines rooted on slate and quartzy soils in a vineyard named Frontairo. Dry, aromas of toast and straw. Citrus, saltiness. Good acidity. — 6 years ago

— 2 years ago
Great wine but be aware that it’s still very young. Not a typical Ponzi single vineyard Chardonnay, it’s still strong, greasy, reductive aroma and flavors are reminiscent of many a modern Cote de Beaune. Powerful, complex, detailed, earthy. Decant and aerate if drinking now but better still to cellar at least another 5 years. I’m projecting it will age gracefully for 25 years or more. — 6 years ago

Waitrose. Strong but smooth — 4 months ago
This wine is inky dark, with no light getting through the glass. Black fruit provides the sweet part of the nose, while tar, earth, tobacco, and coffee cover the savory side. Blackberry and plum flavors are joined on the palate by earthy minerals and a brisk acidity. The tannins are firm and seem to eagerly await a pairing with some beef. It’s a delicious wine, so if you’re not pairing it with food, that’s okay. — 7 months ago
Pale yellow good bite Sam brought it and he always brings good stuff — 2 years ago
This is a very nice wine. It’s quite heavy in appearance and flavour, plenty of spice and pepper but a good amount of sweet fruit on the palate. There is also a rubbery, diesel element which is more shiraz in style, but it all works and makes for an enjoyable Chilean experience. Long, rich finish. — 6 years ago
