Tobacco, leather, pencil lead, old wooden boxes. Dark fruits open with decanting. Complex yet balanced finish. — 5 years ago
This 2014 vintage drank in August 2020 peaked after 45 - 80mins decant. On the nose and taste are various intensities of dusty cherry, slight plum, balsamic, violet, leather, licorice, and shoe polish (in a good way). Some savory, herbal notes appear after 2-3 hrs decant, while the fruit and acid fades. Not an outstanding brunello, but a nice quality for price. — 6 years ago

Definitely not the MV! Decent nose followed by very wooden finish - almost like it’s over the hill - vinegary - or maybe the fruit’s dead — 5 years ago

Good everyday Bordeaux. A little shoe leather and berry — 2 years ago
Incredible, fragrant nose - sandalwood and bursting with black currant, maybe some black tea in there, too. Dry mouthfeel, like wool socks that were kept in a wooden drawer all season and then somehow got left out in the rain. — 5 years ago
Oranges, shoe leather, caramel, oh my the panoply of esters! With lobster risotto a delight. Salt, bitter earthy Loam, — 5 years ago

Always a good one. Not sure I could distinguish from the ‘19 I had several weeks back - same voluptuous fruit, slightly wooden finish - could definitely use a few more years - this young it’s a little too fruit forward/unsubtle — 5 months ago
