The wine poured a deep purple red. It had some flavors of dried red fruit initially. And it finishes with an earthy vegetable essence. There are nice tannins. The wine paired well with the New York grass fed steaks that we paired it with. As other reviewers have mentioned I don’t think it amounts to a 92 rating like wine enthusiast gave it. But for $6.40 at grocery warehouse, it’s a very good value. Taste of cranberries and dried fruit. A decent amount of tannins and a kind of dry spicy finish. I think that wine enthusiast Magazine was maybe a little generous with a 92 rating. But this is a great midweek drinker. It went well with the Greek chicken kebabs that we paired it with.And for $5.50 at grocery outlet quite the bargain. This wine poured a beautiful purple. It has a nice nose. Flavors of blackberry, dried fruits, hints of gravel and graphite. Nice tannins also with an ok finish. As the bottle indicates, it is slightly blended with Syrah and Merlot. It seemed to have a slightly European character which I thoroughly enjoyed.
