Nose of bold mocha, herb, tobacco, vanilla, mixed with powerful alcohol. Taste of dark plum, smoky, and oaky sweetness. Aftertaste of leafy sweetness with lingering herbal and tea flavor. Mellow tannins make it round, very tasty, and mouthful. Had a second bottle 4 months later, and the tasting note definitely holds with addition of currants and cherry nose and peppery aftertaste. Really tasty.
