Cyrus Cabernet Sauvignon Blend

Ok, think I don't like American oak. But not horrible. My got the dill once Mitch pointed it out. Dry.

Really wasn't sure what to expect with this one. I have a bottle of this very vintage, and almost expected this one to have some problems. Much to my surprise, this is a very nice black fruit dominant wine with a hint of green pepper and green olive. Medium++ bodied. There was a little bit of tobacco leaf somewhere in the swirl of things, and finished rather soft with nicely integrated tannins. A very balanced wine. I do feel as if this one is probably right at the top right now, and will not get any better. For the price, this one does well.

Vegetal and medicinal with rose petals, lavender, dill, leather, clove, sweet pipe tobacco, menthol, and Christmas spices. This has aged nicely.

Magnum!! Smooth cocoa and violets

Superb. Full bodied. Mouthful of flavor. Winner of best wine at Houston Rodeo a couple of years ago.

Very good dark grape flavor with moderate to intense smoky oak.

Much lighter than the other. Light jammy flavor.

One of the best wines I have tried.

Really enjoyed this Bordeaux blend. Nice on the nose, hints of green pepper, plum, currant. Medium body and medium legs. Soft tannins, likely undergone a vilification. Looking forward to drinking again.

3L format enjoyed on Christmas Day, held up well, but motes of age on the finish, glad we drank and did not wait.
