I am consistently surprised by which rosé takes control at our shop year after year. This summer it’s been Alkoomi hands down. Our first year carrying this Frankland River blend of Grenache with splashes of Mataro, Malbec, and Petit Verdot. Incredibly pale in the glass. Medium bodied with strawberry, tangerine, and (per their website) lemon biscuit. It’s true there is a citrusy biscotti note here. I must admit, I’m a convert and have probably drank a case of this at home over the course of the summer. Family winery that farms sustainably. What will next year bring?
