Kerner
Valle Isarco / Eisacktal, Alto Adige, Trentino-Alto Adige, ItalyA cross between Riesling and Trollinger (Schiava in Italy), the wine has a pink tinge to its golden lemon. It smells of peaches with a hint of ginger and thyme. (A previous commenter called it Peaches and Herb!). Retains some of the Riesling acidity, but this has a lush quality. In fact, it reminds me of a Virginia Viognier in the mouthfeel. I'd really enjoy this in the late Spring and Summer.

Breaktime from Xmas shopping with a refreshing lift from the Isarco Valley. Kerner is a personal favorite. With its lilting crisp acidity, white florals, honey, slate, and ripe green apple. Tiny bit of flabbiness which I'll chalk up to a bad vintage but makes up for it with a reasonably long finish.
