Avennia
Gravura Columbia Valley Cabernet Sauvignon Blend
Columbia Valley, Oregon/Washington, USA
Chewy berry pie with baking and warmer spices. Good oak that gave it some firmness but with a touch of vanilla. Very pleasant blend.

Rich dark fruit on the nose which follows to the palate. Plums & currants shimmer across the mid palate with some cedar/tobacco notes on top. Structured, yet approachable. This producer is consistently killing it right now.

Deep and rich flavors of cold ripe fruit, leather, and a little bit of toasted wood in there. Definitely got better the longer the bottle was open.

A little overly oaked for my palate but nonetheless a well structured wine. I just wish they would’ve let the fruit show more than the cooperage.
