Wine Enthusiast score of 92! Aroma is strangely enticing. Leaves in October, licorice/anise, and something I know but can’t put my finger on. It’s not that cedar and smoke thing most commonly found in those Rioja reds. A bit funkier. Flavors are tart, smokey and meaty. Plenty of cedar boxes and smokey, jerky meat. Hint of dried mint, sage, or tarragon. And cola. Essence of cola. This is a unique and complex Spanish red. Hasn’t lost a bit and could age a bit longer even. It’s earned it’s score.
