Gran Reserva Prado Enea Rioja Tempranillo

Just keeps getting better. Only a short decant for a perfect steak partner. Lithe, sweet acidity and beautifully dry finish all covered in maraschino cherry. Years to go.

Captivating. But could use even more time. Elegant with leather and red fruit.

Rally smooth, with great balance. Paired well with steak and with shellfish; an easy go-to. Props to Joe's on Grand for having it on the list!

Wow! Tobacco, white pepper, boysenberry, black berry and a smooth velvety texture. It's all here peeps.

Hadn't been a big fan of Tempranillo before this. Now I may be a convert if I can find others in this style. Great structure with a good amount of dark fruit and a rich texture. There was definitely some oak flavors coming though as well. While this was bold there still was a nice acidity that kept it tamed. Very enjoyable.

Great acidity for ten years of age. Dried red cherries, candied strawberry with that beautiful dusty presence of Rioja. Bakers chocolate, dried rose petals and cedar add complexity. Too big for casual drinking, but went excellent with secreto iberico.
