Deep Ruby with aromas of cassis, black cherry, violet, black olive, blackberry, wet stone and cedar. This wine is 97% Cabernet Sauvignon and 3% Malbec and labeled 15%abv but it feels higher than that. It’s lean on the mid palate with a medium finish. I expected more intensity and better balance of the fruit with tannin and alcohol. At this point in its life (at 7 years of age) I want a more seamless presentation. This is a bit heavy and a tough match with food.
