Ca' Rozzeria
Neive Barbaresco Nebbiolo
Barbaresco, Cuneo, Piedmont, Italy

This is Garagiste’s private label. I’m guessing the producer is Icardi because that’s usually their go-to for Barbaresco and Barolo, but I can’t be sure. In any event, this is terrific wine and at its peak, in my view. Nose is classic with rose petals, beautiful dried cherry, mineral-flecked gravel, and some tertiary old library scents making an appearance. Soft, long, and balanced in the mouth. Really fine. Strangely, zero sediment.

Unripe mulberry and hints of chive this nose has.
pomegranate fruit, seed and all, raspberry, hints of tarragon and cherry wood.
Bold and smack your face tannins, with jolly rancher acidity.
An easy Pizza night quaffer

Subtle nose, with a hint of coriander as I pull the glass away.
Ripe, sweet cherry, hazelnut, cookie dough, brash oak interrupts the succulent ness of this wine, a big chomping cigar box tannins, with a hint of Alexander the Grape acidity..
Interesting, would like less wood on this.
Stay Healthy!

May 2nd, 2021Thought this was the 2014 and only opened about 20 min before dinner. Needs more time. Still good though! Traditional style. Paired well chicken parmesan and bucatini.
