Tavel Grenache Blend Rosé

Safeway special with fried chicken! A little fruity right out of bottle, just realized it was %14.5.

So jolly!

I'm sure this had lees exposure. Smells like cookies with sweet mixed red berry sandwiched in the middle. If this were a person it would be Siphia Vergara! Curvy!

Very light body; medium acid; strawberry jam aroma

A little extracted for my palate, however, that is this particular style. Gave it a whirl and a swirl. I think that I'll stick to my Bandol for now or something from Idlewild wines. Love what they're doing.

Great wine. Almost as dark as a Pinot. On the dry side of sweet (does that make sense?) There is nothing better after a long hot summer day. Tavel's = summer.

Light, dried strawberry notes on the nose. Lost quite a bit of its fruit, but still maintains a generous amount of earth and acid.
