Château d'Epiré
Grand Cru D'Anjou Savennières Chenin Blanc
Savennières, Anjou-Saumur, Loire Valley, France
Pretty. Almost gold in color, bruised apple/pear, week old flowers, wet wool, broad mouthfeel, wet stone, bright acid and a long finish. Great stuff.

Oct 16th, 2020Great value for this booming Chenin. Slight oxidation with waxy fruit, quince, pear, honey. Funky fresh. Long finish.

Feb 21st, 2018All in on Saveinners at the moment. Not the best I’ve had but a great wine none the less. To me, best examples of Chenin available.

Heavy lime juice bite with ripe white peaches, tarragon, and an evident white flower nose. Minerality is there but it's hard to describe what it comes from but it's not giving off volcanic or any stoney minerals. $20👌🏼
