Deep ruby color thats a lot lighter around the edges giving it the look I feel that pinot noir was meant to describe but just doesn't on a modern example. Aroma is tobacco and bay leaf, just dry herby/earthy plant matter. Hint of cranberry letting you know it's fruit derived. Flavor definitely has that strong unsweetened cranberry flavor and tea leaves that leads to the most bone dry finish I have ever had in a wine. I didn’t love it at first, but liked it after it opened up a bit. The wine has a slight acidity but this is definitely mouth puckering bone dry wine. Really went nicely with chicken shawarma. On its own its probably rough, with food, excellent.
