Stellar bottle of wine but definitely overshadowed by the other wines that night.

Nice cassis, pencil shavings, cigar box smell. Medium lenght

Well...what can you say about les Forts de Latour? There are second wines, there are good second wines, even real good ones......and there is Les Forts de Latour. Even at age of 26 this "2nd" wine is alive and kicking and in no hurry at all. Pure classic powerful claret. Love it! What a steal it was those days......

Drank against its bigger brother and he's up to@the task Great fruit just slightly lighter in mouthfeel and consistency.

Still young. Three hours and starting to reveal itself. 1990 vintage.

Excellent with veal cutlets - mature low tannin but medium on the back 1995 vintage

Hard to believe how good this was for a 2nd wine and what a privilege to taste the 1990 latour and fort the Latour a few weeks apart.
