Del Dotto Vineyards
Caves Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

Friday's Cabernet fix? Oh yeah!
Deep purple in color with a short purplish rim.
Beautiful nose of black currants, wildflowers, blackberries, sweet cherries, figs, cedar, vanilla, licorice, earth, pencil lead, alcohol, spices and peppercorn.
Medium plus in body, elegant and smooth, with gorgeous long legs, and medium plus acidity.
Dry on the palate with plums, cherries, raspberries, red currants, oak, smoke, tar, dark chocolates, cola, earth, vanilla, pencil lead, peppercorn, leather and spices.
Long, long finish with round tannins and tart raspberries.
This Napa Cabernet Sauvignon is excellent. in one word: delicious!
Nice complexity, with a great mouth feel and nice balance. Elegant and classy with an interesting acidity at the finish.
This is good right out of the bottle, but it is much better after 2 hours in a decanter.
Needs a year or two in the bottle, to put together all the pieces, in order to make it even better.
Enjoyable by itself as a sipping wine, or with food like barbecue ribs or a nice cut of filet mignon.
Thank you, Sean, for sharing this delight with me.
77% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Merlot, 8% Cabernet Franc and 5% Petite Verdot.
15.7% alcohol by volume.
