Dark and murky ruby color. Aromas of smoke, black fruit, purple flowers and leather. Flavors of black raspberry/cherry/blackberry fruit, sweet spices, black licorice and vanilla. Long and intense earthy finish. Good acidity and richness. Medium tannins. Quite fruit forward and lush, but also very rustic. Nicely aged.
