A lot going on here, and it's good. Smells like cola and chocolate. Tastes like milk chocolate, plums, medjool dates, brown sugar? Dry, tannic, puckery finish, but with lower acidity. Delicious, and a meal into itself.

Reliable year in year out and still reasonably priced. All red fruits & violets, some smoke, dried herbs & Earth, Med weight, graceful, balanced & cohesive, mouthful of flavors confirming nose, just enough acidity to keep things moving…

This is a great example of a well-rounded, complex, excellent red blend at a fair price point. Fuller than I was expecting but that’s okay!

Juicy stuff. Needs a good 10 mins in the glass to open up. Honey, fig and ripe plum. Baking spices coming at yeah right after. Smoke and bramble , strawberries and spices on the palate. Delight full and for just $20 this is pretty delish.

While this could have spent another year or two in the bottle, it was still tasty today. Quite aromatic, with notes of red berries and flowers. Very smooth mouthfeel, with flavors of red fruit, spice and earth. Not a knockout, but a great value nonetheless. 100% Mencia. 12/31/22.
