Apr 4th, 2022A little past it’s best but still interesting. Light orange in flavor. Not much fizz. Peach, marmalade, a whiff of ginger cake. There’s a little sizzle of acidity on the end palate. Certainly this bottle is on its final stretch but as always with old champagne, it’s fascinating.

Lively old girl with a high level and spritz intact. A leggy, golden yellow; old Chardonnay (butter and bitter apple marmalade) dominating on the nose; evident acidity and well balanced. Very good, though not vastly different from a regular Moët NV with a serious amount of bottle age...
