Cuvée Les Vieilles Fontaines Cornas Syrah

I thought this was the most complete and elegant of the trio of ‘12 Cornas we opened. Dark fruited, sinewy, meaty and herbal, floral and spicy notes add interest to a long and dramatic finish. Plenty of life ahead

Fresh red meat, unfiltered character, purple fruit, bright acidity will age gracefully

In a great place now. Dark fruit, plum, spices. You could taste crisped bacon saltiness.

This was still mostly primary & not yet showing the personality of a great Cornas. It should improve with more time in the cellar.

Reminded me of a SQN. Showing too much oak.
