I have been down on Grenache of late, and this one started in the same way that has troubled me, but after 2 hours open it has shed some of the fat, retaining the opulence and a good line of freshness and tannin on the finish. Make no mistake, this is high in abv, but carries it well. The nose is a little raisen, with creme d'cassis, huge. The palate is big too but carries the weight well, the flavor is levels better than the nose. #janasse #grenache

Earthy and herby but just initially and it depending on the glass shape. PN glass should be recommended. Fruity and complexity from Grenache is quite good with over 10 years matured taste. 2009 @2400, Xiaduo - 302, 201017-210827

10 years old and It has MILES left, but it's drinking so well right now.
Great color, so dark. Ripe, dark fruit off the nose. Delicious fruit with smooth and dry tannins. Long finish.
