@Charles Curtis is making me broke! Reading about all the Tete-de-cuvée Burgundy that were passed over for grand Cru status makes you want to drink them all! While restrained aromatically, this 15 year old had perfect texture, pure, intense and surprisingly dark flavors and a finish that went on and on. It was fantastic with homemade pasta covered in butter cooked black truffles.

This was not as primary as other bottles but still drinking youthful with lots of dark cherry, leather, savory dried herbs, forest floor spice box, mineral & violet.

Dark red color. Fresh aromas of dark fruits. Big, juicy, and tannic flavors. Seems a bit of an atypical Volnay. Needs time to unwind and gain nuance. Perhaps much better in 5+ years.
