Domaine Faiveley (Joseph Faiveley)
Clos des Myglands Mercurey 1er Cru Pinot Noir
Mercurey, Côte Chalonnaise, Burgundy, France
Exuberant and showing well now, this single vineyard Burgundy exhibits raspberry liqueur, cranberry, black cherry, cola, dark chocolate, with sweet red spice and crushed rock, dried leaves, and a hint of licorice. Medium body and acid and fine, integrated tannin. Lovely with pheasant on a winter vegetable purée.

One of the many beautiful Côte Chalonnaise selected by @Francesca Maniace(Commonwealth) and Jonathan Waters (Chez Panisse), this monopole from Faiveley a true insider's wine (read stellar value), it hits all the essential notes: elegant fruit, supple texture, bright acidity and classic Burgundian minerality
