Vieille Vigne Gevrey-Chambertin Pinot Noir

Montana morels. Wine has really filled out during the past 18 months. Drink now over next few years.

Shows stalky, herbaceous character found in many 2011 CdN red Burg. Actually showed more rich, red fruit prior to receiving air. Producer style overwhelms Gevrey character not to my surprise.

I can't believe it, in fact I wouldn't if I didn't taste this blind with 6 people, but this was disappointing. The nose was flashy and appealing but it was Sweet on the palate. WTF.

Tart cherry, red berries, mission fig and tannin. Better on the second day and more full bodied than expected.

More Fourrier than Gevrey.

Inferior to both '10 and '09 but still decent. Way better values to be had out there though
