Still bright ruby in the glass. The nose mixes tight fruit with the soil it came from. In the mouth this has a strong impact, with some lingering tannin and lots of acidity competing with the fruit. Finish lasts a while. Could use some more age.

Structured, dark core of fruit. Gaining 2ndary qualities but still young with broad shoulders.

Decanted for 4+ hours, and it needs more time. Hits the burgundy high points for me with some other interesting notes, black cherry, stems, heavy juniper, five spice, tobacco, earth, then some heat...labeled at 14% and I can tell, definitely detracts from the package, but still a very good bottle #burgundysunday
