Domaine Paul Blanck
Schlossberg Alsace Grand Cru Riesling
Schlossberg, Kintzheim, Alsace, France

From half bottle. Rich and round with an impression of sweetness but still at 13.5% alcohol. Dried fruits, zesty - very easy to drink - luscious. No point in further cellaring - drink now. An excellent Alsatian Grand Cru Riesling.

Mid lemon in colour. Aromas of white flowers and honeysuckle. Quite a creamy palate - fulsome - almost tricks you into thinking Residual Sugar and low ABV but No - this was 13.5 % alcohol. A ripe mandarin note on the palate. In summary quite delicious. From half bottle (375ml).

Pale lemon. Citrus notes and a touch of kerosene. On palate lemon and honey and cumquat. More fruit driven than mineral with white peach evident. More sweet than you would expect from 13.5 % Alcohol. This is the Signature Wine of Paul Blanck - the Schlossberg Grand Cru Riesling. A lovely Riesling from 375ml in this case.
