Wine is an adventure and this bottle taught me that a 1er Cru in Burgundy is not the same as a 1er Cru in Bordeaux. Great wine nevertheless. Decanted it -- unnecessarily -- and regretted it towards the end of the bottle as it started to fall apart. I'd buy it again and drink it out of the bottle.

We had the 2009 vintage on 9/27/15. There was more leather and tobacco than fruit. The tannins smoothed out and there was a pleasant finish. Not bad, not great.
