Domaine Sylvain Pataille
Bourgogne Pinot Noir
Burgundy, France

Really easy to get along with. Fresh and balanced with something new to offer up every time you come back to the glass. A great accompaniment to every course of our meal at Four Horsemen.

A charming wine the leaves you very happy sip after sip, after sniff. Gorgeous lift and ethereal aromatics (med+), red fruits coalesce with spice and minerality from the terroir for a great stem to glass representation. The palate is medium bodied with med+ flavor density. Med+ fresh finish.

Medium ruby color. Aromas of cherry, strawberry and earthy tones. Nice bright red fruit, lavender and white pepper.

Apr 20th, 2026A clear ruby color in the glass with a deeper, darker core. A wide brim and sexy legs. A very provocative nose showcasing the customary Burgundy aromas of ripe cherries, cranberries, and grassy knoll. Violets and mild spice. Beautifully clean funk permeates from the glass and I can’t get enough of it.
Pataille’s range of wines obviously carry a lot of hype and they constantly hit the mark. Lovely, fresh, effervescent wines through and through. Ignore the simple Bourgogne designation because this too, is a cut above. Delightfully juicy with bright acidity, nice structure, and tons of personality to be found here.
This needs around 15-20 minutes of air before she really opens up. Once she does, you’ll find generous red fruits on the palate along with more earth. There’s certainly an ethereal quality to this wine. Like a ballerina, it sways to and fro, always leaving you excited and pleased. And wanting a little more. Have it.
